The SBC of Virginia has provided training to numerous churches on the topic of church security. Our conference speaker has been Alan Ware, a servant of God's church. Alan has led these conferences by equipping churches to be sensitive to the needs of outside visitors, and yes, in how to be wise and observant to protect the flock.

I would recommend Alan to speak to any church that is struggling with how to greet visitors, disciple leaders to meaningfully connect with visitors, and certainly in how to protect the church. 

I met Alan about a year ago after taking on the security team at our church. He has been an invaluable asset not just to Bon Air Baptist but to all faith based organizations around here in Richmond and throughout the country. His presentation, professionalism along with this passion for helping churches be more safe and secure is excellent. I would highly recommend any church or other organization that wants to develop a safer and secure environment to have him come speak and work with them.

One year ago, Westminster embarked on a quest to make our campus safe and secure, with God's grace. With Alan's guidance and expertise, we implemented a plan that was tailored to our needs and sensibilities. He is an excellent and patient listener and did not override our concerns or dictate an outcome other than safety for our students. Our dialogue continues, but our parents and students have been pleased with our new procedure. Alan has helped us make adjustments. He trained our staff and continues to offer helpful tips that make our campus life safer.

Alan is a very knowledgeable IT administrator. He helped me navigate through some decisions that ultimately improved the IT environment at my organization. Alan has time for others and shows compassion in his dealings. He is approachable and a joy to interact with. I highly recommend Alan for his integrity, people skills, and work quality.
